Strathfield is one of Sydney’s best-loved inner-west suburbs, and home to one of the city’s best-known Korean communities. It’s also a suburb of contrasts: modern apartment blocks near the station sit a few streets away from large older homes on leafy avenues. Each needs a slightly different plan on moving day. Hanjin Removal (한진이사) is based a short drive away in Auburn, so Strathfield moves are a big part of what we do.

Moving into or out of an apartment

Most Strathfield apartment buildings are run by a strata manager or building manager, and they usually have rules for moves. Sort these out a week or two before moving day:

  • Book the lift — many buildings need a booking and will fit protective lift padding.
  • Ask about the loading dock — check the truck height limit and how long you can stay.
  • Confirm move times — some buildings only allow moves on certain days or hours.
  • Get a contact number for the building manager on the day, just in case.

Send us these details when you request a quote. Knowing the access in advance means we bring the right truck and the right number of people.

Houses, stairs and narrow driveways

Older Strathfield homes often have front steps, split levels or long driveways. None of that is a problem — but it does affect how long the job takes. Tell us about stairs, tight hallways and heavy items like pianos, safes or marble tables so your quote reflects the real job and there are no surprises on the day.

Parking the truck

Streets near the station and shopping strips can be busy, especially on weekends. If parking is tight outside your home, try to keep a space clear the evening before (a car parked out front can be moved in the morning). For longer jobs or restricted streets, check with Strathfield Council whether you need a temporary parking or standing permit.

Timing your move

Weekends and the end of the month are the busiest days for removalists. If your lease allows it, a weekday move is often easier to book and quicker on the road. Whatever day you choose, booking early gives you the best choice of times.

Moving to Strathfield from elsewhere in Sydney

Coming from the other side of Sydney? We move households between Strathfield and suburbs all over Sydney and greater NSW. The same rules apply at both ends — check building access and parking at your old place and your new one.
